Checkinatwork : Belgian legal obligation

Belgian regulations require the daily registration to the Social Security of all members of the staff of the construction and meat processing industry. These attendances must be communicated to the Social Security through the web platform Checkinatwork.

Who should register?

Any person performing work on a construction site must register. This applies to workers and self-employed persons, be they Belgian or foreign, prime contractors or security coordinators.

What tasks are concerned?

These include : construction, transformation, completion, fitting, repair, maintenance, cleaning and demolition, on a site which budget is equal to or greater than € 500,000.

When to register?

Every worker must register his presence on arrival at a workplace before starting work. The information must be immediately communicated to the Social Security.

Meat sector

Who should register?

Any person who carries out work in a slaughterhouse, a meat cutting plant or a meat preparation company must be registered.
